Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to support our growing finance team. This role will focus on financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and payroll processing, while also contributing to overall financial operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and stepping in to support bookkeeping functions when needed. Light HR responsibilities are also included in the role.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with established accounting standards
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, monitor cash flow, and improve cost control and job profitability
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes in coordination with company leadership
Manage the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and perform month-end and year-end close procedures
Process payroll, including job costing allocations and benefits administration
Support onboarding, basic HR compliance, and employee records management
Perform bank reconciliations and maintain tracking for fixed assets
Prepare for internal and external audits and help enforce internal controls and compliance with financial policies
Collaborate with office and field teams to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with job performance
Serve as a backup for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense management tasks when necessary

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (required)
Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a service, construction, or project-based environment
Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance
Proficient in managing payroll and comfortable with benefits-related tasks
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently
Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing financial insight to support company goals
Familiarity with HR concepts and ability to support light HR functions when needed
