As a Permanent Accountant in our dynamic finance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Responsibilities:
1. Manage all accounting transactions including AP, AR, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.
2. Prepare budget forecasts and financial statements.
3. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Ensure timely processing of payroll and resolve any discrepancies.
5. Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
6. Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
7. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
8. Audit financial transactions and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
9. Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
10. Liaise with our Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to improve financial procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. 5+ years of proven experience as an Accountant in the Finance industry.
3. Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks.
4. Experience in the Consumer Products and Manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.
5. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
6. Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
7. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently.
9. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification would be considered an asset.
