Well established manufacturing client is seeking a skilled Accountant to join their growing team!
A bit about us:
We are seeking a Permanent Accountant who will be a key member of our Engineering team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial analysis and financial reporting, with a preference for CPA certification. This role will involve a mix of technical accounting, financial modeling, data analysis, and consolidation. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the ledger, preparing entries, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.

Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Prepare and present financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
- Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
- Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
- Generate financial reports and statements to Managers for review.
- Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
- Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.
- Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
- Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
- Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
- Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
- Develop financial models and provide financial forecasts.
- Analyze and manage inter-company transactions and processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- CPA certification is preferred but will consider candidates that are in the process of sitting for it.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a public accounting or technical accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations & reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Excellent data analysis skills.
- Proven experience with financial reporting and financial statements.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- A thorough understanding of ledger functions and entries.
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
