Our company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions, including preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, and providing financial analysis. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the financial standing of our company and supports all aspects of our financial management, including regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation. Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
2. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
3. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
4. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
5. Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
6. Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses or individuals.
7. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
8. Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
9. Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
10. Conduct internal audits on financial activities as necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
3. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and accounting software.
4. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
7. Pays strict attention to detail.
8. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
9. Accurate and precise attention to detail.
10. Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
