Responsibilities
As a Permanent Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Performing month-end closing activities, including reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
3. Analyzing financial data and preparing detailed reports for management.
4. Ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
5. Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
6. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
7. Participating in tax audits.
8. Collaborating with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
9. Evaluating computerized accounting systems and providing recommendations for improvements.
10. Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and legal standards.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting or a related field.
3. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including GAAP.
4. Experience with month-end closing processes.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
6. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
10. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
