Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Analyzing complex financial reports and records.
2. Making recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures.
3. Reviewing journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy.
4. Training and mentoring junior staff.
5. Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.
6. Assisting with financial and tax audits.
7. Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing team.
8. Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
9. Conducting budget analysis to assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
10. Conducting financial analysis to provide data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Accountant position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
4. Experience with cost accounting, budget analysis and financial analysis.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
7. High attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
