Job Details:

We are in search of a dynamic and motivated contract Accountant to join our team. This role requires a high level of financial expertise, attention to detail, and exceptional analytical skills. As a contract Accountant, you will work closely with our clients to provide financial advice, conduct audits, and assist with tax preparation. You will also play a vital role in improving our accounting processes, implementing new systems, and ensuring that our financial operations are in line with legal standards and company policies. Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality financial advice to our clients based on thorough financial analysis and understanding of their business operations.
2. Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
3. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
4. Conduct audits on financial operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements and making recommendations for improvements.
5. Prepare tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
6. Advise clients on areas of business improvement, or dealing with insolvency.
7. Detect and prevent fraud by implementing effective systems and processes.
8. Assist in budget preparation and management activities.
9. Develop financial models and provide financial forecasts.
10. Assist with the implementation and management of accounting systems and processes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. Proven experience as a Accountant or a similar role
3. In-depth knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks and proficiency in MS Excel.
4. Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations.
5. Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Team management skills.
8. Ability to prioritize work.
9. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Experience with A/R, Entries, Reconcile, GL is required.
