As a key member of our accounting team, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our revenue streams, ensuring financial compliance, and providing critical financial insights that will shape our strategic decisions.
Responsibilities:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing all revenue-related financial transactions, including invoicing, cash receipts, and revenue recognition.
2. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
3. Conducting detailed revenue analyses and forecasts to inform strategic decision-making.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize revenue streams and identify new revenue opportunities.
5. Preparing and presenting detailed revenue reports to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
6. Assisting with the preparation and coordination of audits, and resolving any issues that may arise.
7. Maintaining and updating financial records and databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.
8. Continually improving revenue accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (such as CPA) is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the energy industry.
3. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
4. Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of your work.
5. Excellent prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
6. Proven ability to multitask effectively, balancing and coordinating various tasks to meet deadlines and objectives.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate financial information to a variety of audiences.
8. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. A strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
10. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate and address issues before they arise.
