We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a solid background in accounting and finance to make a significant impact on our business operations. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of month-end close processes and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review month-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to complete budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
  • Provide input into department's goal setting process.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end audit schedules and documentation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations.
  • Liaise with our Controller to improve financial procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Proven experience with month-end close.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with accounting software and databases.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing duties.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy.
