We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced temporary Accounting Assistant for a service industry group. This is an on-site role, Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Consulting Accounting Assistant to join our growing team in the construction industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in accounting and finance, looking to apply their skills in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, excellent numerical proficiency, and a strong sense of integrity.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
2. Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices with a focus on 3 Way Match.
3. Conduct regular bank reconciliations and handle all bank deposits.
4. Process received payments and apply credits where necessary.
5. Make necessary adjustments to accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
6. Utilize Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets and reports.
7. Maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system.
8. Work closely with the accounting team to create and analyze financial reports.
9. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws in all financial procedures.
10. Assist with other accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel.
3. Exceptional knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Vendor Management.
4. Proficient with 10 key by touch.
5. Experience with 3 Way Match, Bank Reconciliation, Deposits, Received Payments, Applied Credits, and Adjustments.
6. Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail.
7. Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets.
8. Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
11. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
