We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Associate to join our thriving manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for a range of complex accounting tasks. The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers; preparing and analyzing budgets; and performing general bookkeeping. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a challenging environment and has a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a recurring basis, including but not limited to cash, freight billing, and receivables.
2. Analyze and review financial statements and reports, ensuring all calculations and data entries are correct.
3. Perform credit analysis and risk assessment for new and existing customers.
4. Prepare and manage invoices, track income and expenses, and manage collection of payments.
5. Process cash receipts and handle bank deposits.
6. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
7. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
8. Collaborate with the finance team to complete financial audits and implement financial policies and procedures.
9. Perform administrative tasks as needed, such as data entry, processing, and recording transactions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related field.
3. Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel.
4. Outstanding knowledge of financial statements and financial statement analysis.
5. Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
6. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
8. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
