We are seeking an Accounting Manager (Consolidations) to join our dynamic Finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of consolidated financial statement preparation, intercompany accounts, month-end reporting, eliminations, and consolidated cash flows.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager (Consolidations), your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Managing the reconciliation and elimination of intercompany accounts.
3. Ensuring accurate and timely month-end reporting.
4. Reviewing and analyzing consolidated cash flows.
5. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
6. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
7. Coordinating with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with established procedures.
8. Working closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
9. Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
10. Providing leadership and support to the accounting team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager (Consolidations) role should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA designation is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting management role, preferably in the Engineering industry.
3. Proven experience with consolidated financial statement preparation, intercompany accounts, month-end reporting, eliminations, and consolidated cash flows.
4. Highly proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Excellent knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
7. Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial colleagues.
9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
10. High attention to detail and accuracy.
11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
