Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of real estate assets
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports are produced
  • Collaborate with property management teams to ensure accurate and timely billing and collections
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax professionals, and lenders
  • Perform financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making
  • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate accounting, Property Accountant, and Property Management Controller
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience with Yardi or other real estate accounting software
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
