Job Details

The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and support for operational decision-making. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a small team while also rolling up their sleeves to dive into complex accounting issues. You will work closely with the Corporate Controller and cross-functional departments across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and controls
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Lead and mentor a small team of accounting staff, fostering professional growth and operational efficiency
Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to support annual audits and tax filings
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Coordinate with operations, supply chain, and other departments to ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory control
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency within the department
Support ERP system enhancements and data integrity initiatives

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
