Responsibilities
Qualifications
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated accounting professional to join a dynamic team. If you have the necessary skills and experience, we would love to hear from you.
- Plan, implement, and oversee overall accounting strategy
- Oversee accounting daily operations
- Take responsibility for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, etc.
- Ensure systems are set up and updated to reflect our financial operations
- Monitor the company's financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances
- Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances, and prepare for regular leadership reviews
- Conduct detailed risk analysis to assess potential investments
- Perform due diligence to ensure potential investments align with the company's strategic goals
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure the proper compliance of the financial statements
- Report to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting supervisory role
- Proven private equity experience
- Strong experience with Workiva, Yardi, or equivalent financial management software preferred
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
