Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
- Manage the preparation and execution of periodic audits, identifying any areas of concern and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop and maintain annual budgets, working closely with the family office principal to ensure financial goals are met.
- Conduct detailed financial forecasting, providing regular updates to the family office principal on projected income, expenses, and overall financial performance.
- Perform adhoc financial analysis as required, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with other family office staff to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role. Experience in a family office setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in audit, budgeting, forecasting, and adhoc financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- High level of integrity and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
