We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to take on the role of Permanent Accounting Manager in our fast-paced manufacturing industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional who is passionate about financial management, has a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and is driven to help our business grow. As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee all financial operations, including inventory and cost management, and ensure our company’s financial functions run efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
2. Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and adherence to company policies.
3. Developing and implementing effective financial strategies, controls, and systems.
4. Managing and tracking all company inventory, including regular auditing and reporting.
5. Implementing and overseeing cost accounting systems, including labor and overhead costs, cost of goods sold, and other operational expenses.
6. Preparing and presenting financial reports, including budgets, financial statements, and cost reports.
7. Collaborating with the management team to set budgets, analyze financial data, and implement financial policies.
8. Ensuring all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.
9. Managing and mentoring a team of accounting staff, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager position will have the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with inventory and cost management.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to clearly explain complex financial information.
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to anticipate and address problems before they arise.
