A bit about us:
The Accounting Manager role is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage this organization's accounting operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting and will be responsible for overseeing general ledger, financial reporting, Accounts Receivable (A/R), and Accounts Payable (A/P). This role will also involve working on a large ERP implementation of SAP.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: A/R, A/P, general ledger, expense reports, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, and capital assets reconciliations.
2. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce accurate financial reports or statements.
3. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
4. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
5. Meet financial accounting objectives.
6. Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
7. Assist with ERP implementation and post-implementation support.
8. Manage month-end and year-end closing process.
9. Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
10. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
11. Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
12. Support month-end and year-end close process.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in accounting, along with 1+ year experience working as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Lead Accountant.
3. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
4. High attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Ability to direct and supervise.
6. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and familiarity with relevant accounting software.
7. Experience with ERP implementation is highly preferred.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
10. CPA or CMA certification would be considered an asset.
