We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make an impact in our growing organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in corporate accounting, with a focus on GAAP, financial reporting, and revenue recognition. Experience in real estate accounting is a plus. The Contract Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in executing monthly close procedures and deliverables, preparing monthly financial statements, and managing the annual audit process.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of monthly close procedures and deliverables in compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage the year-end close process and coordinate the annual audit, working closely with external auditors.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Yardi and Entrada to streamline processes and enhance financial reporting.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Familiarity with real estate accounting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Yardi and Entrada.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
