We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our financial processes within our dynamic manufacturing environment. This position that offers a unique opportunity to be an integral part of our management team, contributing to our strategic direction while ensuring the integrity of our financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, including audit, inventory management, tax filings, financial accounting, financial statements, and financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to the financial health of our organization. These include:
1. Overseeing the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
2. Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
3. Managing the organization's tax filings to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
4. Overseeing the audit process, coordinating with internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
5. Managing the inventory process, ensuring accurate and timely inventory counts and valuations.
6. Providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision making by the management team.
7. Developing and implementing effective accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
8. Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
9. Supervising, mentoring, and developing the accounting team to ensure a high level of competency and engagement.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of technical skills, industry knowledge, and leadership abilities. These include:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of manufacturing accounting principles and procedures.
4. Proven experience in managing audit processes, tax filings, inventory management, and financial reporting.
5. Proficiency in using accounting software and other financial management tools.
6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
7. Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
8. Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to a non-financial audience.
9. High level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
