Job Details
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial and accounting operations of our manufacturing and distribution processes. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including managing the accounting staff.
2. Implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure the company's funds are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and US GAAP.
3. Preparing and analyzing financial reports, including balance sheets, income and loss statements, and tax returns.
4. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
5. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
6. Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with internal processes and legal requirements.
7. Working closely with the management team to formulate and implement company financial plans.
8. Evaluating and managing risk, analyzing efficiency, and informing key stakeholders of trends and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager role will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Solid understanding and experience with manufacturing and distribution accounting.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including a strong understanding of US GAAP.
5. Proven experience in managing a team and driving performance.
6. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
9. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
10. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
