Job Details

Responsibilities:
· Oversight and management of the processing and payment of supplier invoices and employee expenses
· Oversight and management of accounting related to fixed assets for book and tax including acquisitions, transfers, capitalizations, retirements, and depreciation
· Oversight and management of storeroom test counts, finished goods cycle counts, annual precious metals, annual packing supplies, and annual refractory inventories
· Oversight of master data management including vendor builds and maintenance. Other various government and tax reporting as required including annual Foreign Source Reporting.
· Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information related to accounts payable, fixed assets, and general ledger, ensuring accuracy of financial information
· Perform various account analyses to ensure that financial data is properly posted
· Oversight and management of the ICSP annual review and update
· Acts as a key liaison between Shared Financial Services and plant personnel, Auditors, Purchasing, IT
· Complete projects related to process improvements/changes and perform other duties and special projects as required
· Foster strong relationships with Shared Services by establishing a customer service culture with all customers
· Drive employee engagement by fostering a trusting and open environment, encouraging candid feedback, building on progress made, and developing employees.

Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 5+ years of related accounting or relevant professional experience
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting policies
  • Previous experience working with various accounting applications
  • Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid communication and planning skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under aggressive deadlines
