Job Details

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts/disbursements, billing, and general ledger management/ERP management.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, specifically: cash, other assets/liabilities, accruals, prepaids, A/R (& reserve), A/P, debt and equity section of balance sheet.
  • Develop and distribute cost center/departmental/discretionary spend reporting.
  • Work with Controller to prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with established timelines for lender/PE - Sponsor and internal reporting.
  • Manage and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Monitor compliance for local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  • Ad hoc support to the Controller and CFO on process improvement initiatives, analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years relevant experience in accounting/finance in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
  • 2 plus years “Big 4” public accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Experience with the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Experience utilizing an end-to-end ERP system. (SOP, POP, MOP and general ledger)
  • Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of GAAP.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel.
