Due to growth, we are looking to add an Accounting Manager to our team in Troy. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations within the corporate team. This role will oversee the accounting function and its team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely monthly reconciliations, data entry coordination, and quality assurance, while maintaining clear communication with billing sources to ensure accurate processing.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Coordinate and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close process.
3. Manage the preparation and submission of all financial reports and forecasts.
4. Oversee and manage the company's payroll function, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
5. Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls.
6. Manage the annual budgeting and planning process.
7. Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors.
8. Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization.
9. Work with the company's financial management software system (Oracle) to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
10. Ensure compliance with all internal policies, relevant regulations and laws.
11. Develop and mentor the accounting team.

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. CPA or MBA preferred.
2. Experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
3. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Oracle experience is a plus.
5. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
6. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
7. Strong knowledge of SOX, audits, month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
8. Ability to motivate and manage accounting staff.
