Accounting Manager

The ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of experience in a lead Finance/Accounting function, and will ideally come with (either or both) an MBA or CPA.

Job Details:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that will play a crucial role in our organization, providing financial information that will assist in making economic decisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, general ledger, forecasting, month-end close, and financial statements.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Manager, you will:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Coordinate and execute the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of all monthly financial information.
3. Prepare and present financial reports including monthly and annual accounts.
4. Manage the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances to the senior management.
5. Conduct detailed financial analysis to provide insight on company operations and financial status.
6. Ensure compliance with all internal processes and relevant regulations and ensuring all accounting practices align with statutory legislation and company policies.
7. Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
8. Mentor and lead the accounting team members by providing feedback and coaching, and fostering an environment of learning and growth.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager role will have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA or CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior-level accounting or financial management role.
3. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
4. Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, strategic planning, and budget management.
5. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, especially in MS Excel.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to clearly communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
7. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
9. High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational and planning skills.
10. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
