We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Accounting Manager to join our team. This is a permanent position that provides a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our financial management, including direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance, and private and institutional financing. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our accounting and financial operations, and will work closely with the executive management team.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
3. Coordinate activities of external auditors.
4. Manage the budget process.
5. Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
6. Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.
7. Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc.
8. Work with senior teams to grow the business through financial planning.
9. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
10. Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting process.
11. Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.
12. Manage any third parties to which accounting or finance functions have been outsourced.
13. Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum 3+ years of experience in a managerial finance or accounting position.
3. Proven experience in financial reporting, financial planning, and analysis.
4. Proficient in corporate finance and internal controls.
5. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
6. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
7. Advanced knowledge of accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
8. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Proficiency in accounting software.
11. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
12. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
13. Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
14. Merger and acquisition finance experience.
15. CPA or MBA preferred.
