We are an established energy company that's looking to expand our accounting team! We're looking for an Accounting Manager to work a hybrid schedule out of our Madison, WI or Cedar Rapids, IA office.

Job Details
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Coordinates accounting processes, procedures and reporting or develops accounting schedules, analyzes account balances and analyzes and maintains accounting records in accordance with GAAP and company procedures.
- Maintains the general ledger and prepares moderately complex financial statements and related reports/analyses and other accounting related duties for assigned functional areas or business segments.
- Under general direction, analyzes and reviews variances in financial results from budget and prior periods.
- Relies on experience to apply independent judgment when making recommendations for accounting adjustments, procedural changes and compliance with company procedures and various federal, state and local regulations in all areas.
- Leads responses to requests from regulatory bodies for accounting information and providing financial information to support regulatory and other audits.
- Leads research and implementation of GAAP accounting requirements.
- Assists in the performance, development and maintenance of internal controls that ensure proper, accurate, and timely recording of transactions and protection of assets.
- Oversees the annual budget process including objective/target development, budget analysis, and budget approval by management.
