Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all daily accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
  • Prepare, review and analyze monthly financial statements for presentation to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the finance industry.
  • Experience with Big 4 accounting firms is a plus.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with reporting staff, peers, and management.
  • Strong experience in all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience with accounting software and databases is a plus.
