We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our growing team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for managing a wide range of financial and accounting activities. You will be a key player in ensuring financial integrity, preparing financial reports, and implementing financial strategies. Your role will also involve the use of Accounting ERP, retail accounting, and ERP Implementation. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
  • Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
  • Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and HR for comprehensive audits of company's financial status, payroll, and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct regular ledger processes, prepare financial reports, and reconcile invoices
  • Implement and monitor the ERP system and other accounting systems and software
  • Analyze financial data and create monthly reports to present to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, as well as contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the management level to align financial management with short and long-term financial planning and projections

Job Details

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proficiency in Accounting ERP, retail accounting, Financials, Monthly Reporting, Ledger, ERP Implementation
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
