Position Overview:
As the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in executing various accounting functions, from managing the month-end close process to budgeting and financial analysis. If you are passionate about innovative financial management and possess a strong understanding of financial regulations, this is an exciting opportunity to advance your career within the accounting sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with all financial operational functions utilizing QuickBooks and Service Titan ERP, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Prepare timely internal financial statements for the brand.
Oversee state and local regulatory reporting, focusing on use/excise taxes and licensing requirements in the region.
Support the brand budget process in alignment with corporate financial objectives.
Manage and monitor all brand accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
Complete the monthly close process at the brand level; maintain accuracy of period-end workbooks, reconciliations, and detail schedules.
Proactively monitor, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and reconciling items.
Enforce internal controls to protect company assets and streamline workflow processes.
Assist brands in implementing financial processes and systems.
Demonstrate honesty and integrity in all financial actions and decisions.
Support financial statement, 401(k), insurance, and other audits under the supervision of the Regional Accounting Manager.
Perform special accounting analyses and projects as requested.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables for the role.
Undertake additional accounting responsibilities as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize diverse tasks and responsibilities.
Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
2-4 years of experience in accounting roles; Public Accounting and/or CPA a plus.
QuickBooks Desktop experience is a plus.
