We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in the Medical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of our organization by managing our financial procedures. You will be working closely with our executive team and will be responsible for developing and implementing the best accounting practices, keeping our financials up-to-date, and ensuring we meet our operational and financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of all monthly financial information, including preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
3. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
4. Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting models, conduct variance analysis, and prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
5. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and manage the relationship with external auditors.
6. Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
7. Implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
8. Continually review and improve financial processes for efficiencies and cost savings.
9. Lead and direct accounting staff to ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in the medical industry is a plus.
3. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, especially in MS Excel.
5. Solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
6. A proven track record of working with senior management and providing support that leads to improved decision making.
7. Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to summarize large amounts of data and information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
8. Excellent leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
9. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
