Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in the Finance industry. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for managing a team of accountants and providing guidance and support as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of sales and use tax returns
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights to the management team
• Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Provide guidance and support to the accounting team as needed
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Assist with external audits and other compliance requirements as needed

Qualifications:

• CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
• 7+ years of Finance and Accounting Experience (Public/Private)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements
• Experience filing sales and use tax returns
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and develop a team of accountants
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
