Job Details
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in the financial success of our company. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
3. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
4. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
5. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
6. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
7. Participating in the development and support of the company's strategic plans.
8. Working closely with the management team to share reports and analysis findings.
9. Participating in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable, and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. The following qualifications are mandatory for this role:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. CPA certification is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
4. In-depth knowledge of General Ledger functions.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages.
7. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
8. Experience with financial statement preparation.
9. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
