Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required. An advanced degree or professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial accounting role is required.
- Proven experience in non-profit financial management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
- Excellent leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
- Knowledge of accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
- Pays strict attention to detail, has strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to handle high-stress situations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to multitask, and work within strict timelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with a team and develop a team-oriented environment.
