Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required. An advanced degree or professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial accounting role is required.
  • Proven experience in non-profit financial management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Knowledge of accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
  • Pays strict attention to detail, has strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to handle high-stress situations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to multitask, and work within strict timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a team and develop a team-oriented environment.
