Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Oversee billing, commercial billing, and distributor export accounts.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 5 accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Use strong Excel skills to analyze complex financial data and create reports.
  • Liaise with our auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or related qualification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like NetSuite and QuickBooks.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Proven experience with financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting.
  • Strong experience in managing internal controls, billing, commercial billing, and distributor export accounts.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
