We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position with excellent benefits. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, problem-solving professional with a strong background in accounting and finance. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, account reconciliations, and general office administration. This role requires a high level of accuracy and efficiency, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Performing daily accounting tasks such as bank reconciliations, account receivable, and accounts payable.
2. Ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
3. Matching invoices to purchase orders and processing payments.
4. Assisting with month-end closing processes and account reconciliations.
5. Providing administrative support to the accounting department, including data entry and file management.
6. Utilizing Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Desktop for financial reporting and analysis.
7. Collaborating with team members to improve accounting processes and procedures.
8. Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
9. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients and vendors.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Accounting Specialist position will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
2. Extensive experience with bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and account reconciliations.
3. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Desktop.
5. Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
6. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
