Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Accounting Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
3. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
4. Managing month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
5. Implementing and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
6. Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.
7. Researching technical accounting issues for compliance.
8. Supporting month-end and year-end close process.
9. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Collaborating with financial management and other team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have the following qualifications:
1. 2-4 years of proven experience in the construction or manufacturing industry preferred
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3. Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
4. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, data management, and financial analysis.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically about business problems.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
9. Strong understanding of business processes and experience with process improvement.
10. Exceptional ethical standards and the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
