We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Specialist. Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Specialist, your primary duties will include:

1. Managing accounts receivable and ensuring that all invoices are issued promptly and accurately.
2. Utilizing QuickBooks to maintain financial records, process transactions, and generate financial reports.
3. Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
4. Reconciling bank statements, verifying deposits, and addressing any discrepancies.
5. Conducting regular audits to ensure that all financial operations are compliant with industry regulations and company policies.
6. Collaborating with the finance team to improve financial processes and systems.
7. Using Excel to analyze financial data, create spreadsheets, and prepare reports.
8. Providing exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, and resolving any issues related to accounts receivable.
9. Assisting with other accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Accounting Specialist position will have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Desktop, with the ability to quickly learn new software as needed.
3. Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and invoicing procedures.
4. Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and perform advanced data analysis.
5. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively resolve issues and build positive relationships with clients.
9. A strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
