Job Details
Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Accounting & Tax Consultant to take an entrepreneurial approach to a new side of the business we are building out. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing various aspects of our clients financial operations and tax planning.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents.
3. Collaborate with executive leadership to define organizational financial strategy.
4. Conduct complex financial analysis to determine present and future performance.
5. Document and improve financial processes, fostering a better understanding throughout the organization.
6. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
7. Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
8. Develop and manage relationships with auditing services to ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies.
9. Prepare and monitor the company's budget and expenses, conduct cost and productivity analyses.
10. Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs.
11. Work closely with executive management teams to provide financial insight, guidance, and recommendations to meet or exceed strategic and operational goals.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role for another investment firm or a large software company. Experience in the Fintech space is a plus!
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is highly desirable.
3. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
