We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our thriving construction company. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to showcase your financial expertise and contribute to our company's financial efficiency. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing the company's expenses, ensuring that our financial operations run smoothly and effectively. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for accuracy, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

1. Processing and verifying invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Performing 3 Way Match – matching invoices, purchase orders, and receiving reports to ensure accuracy.
3. Preparing and executing monthly payment runs, ensuring all payments are made in accordance with company policies and procedures.
4. Reconciling vendor statements, investigating and correcting any discrepancies or errors.
5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor files and records.
6. Assisting with month-end closing procedures and preparing monthly reports.
7. Responding to vendor inquiries and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
8. Collaborating with the procurement and finance teams to improve processes and achieve financial objectives.
9. Ensuring compliance with all internal controls and regulations related to accounts payable.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in 3 Way Match and other accounts payable procedures.
3. Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software.
5. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
