Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Accounts Payable Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
2. Supervising and mentoring a team of accounts payable clerks, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
3. Developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies for accounts payable to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
4. Managing monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information, ensuring accuracy of financial statements.
5. Providing accurate and effective document coordination and circulation to the department.
6. Managing budgets, preparing and presenting financial reports, and engaging in complex accounting projects.
7. Participating in fiscal year-end closing, preparing and planning for annual audits.
8. Liaising with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and effective collaboration.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Accounts Payable Manager position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
3. Proven experience in managing a team and overseeing complex accounting projects.
4. Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)
5. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
9. Professional certification (e.g. CMA, CPA) is a plus.
