We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Consulting Accounts Payable Specialist to join our fast-paced Accounting + Finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize and expand your accounting skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, including PO matching, invoicing, and data entry of vendor information. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

As a Consulting Accounts Payable Specialist, you will:

1. Oversee all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices and expense reports.
2. Perform PO matching, verifying that purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts are accurate and complete.
3. Handle data entry of vendor information, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our vendor database.
4. Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies promptly and professionally.
5. Assist in month-end closing procedures, including the preparation of accruals and journal entries.
6. Collaborate with other departments to streamline and improve accounts payable processes.
7. Provide top-notch customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
8. Conduct regular audits of the accounts payable process to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
2. Proficiency in PO matching, invoicing, and data entry of vendor information.
3. Strong numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
5. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
6. The ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
7. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. Knowledge of accounting software, preferably QuickBooks or similar systems.
9. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
