We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Manufacturing Accounting to contribute to our financial operations and play a key role in our company's success. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and reconciling accounts, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of our Accounts Receivable process including invoicing, cash receipts, and customer account reconciliations.
- Prepare, review, and record journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve any billing discrepancies and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Perform credit checks and set up new customer accounts.
- Participate in financial audits and implement recommendations for process improvements.
- Provide support to the finance team and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Manufacturing Accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Experience with audits, invoice processing, and budget forecasting.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
