Job Details
Are you a proactive problem-solver who thrives on optimizing processes and keeping accounts in check? Do you enjoy digging into reconciliation work, researching and working through exceptions while also keeping an eye on the bigger picture? If so, we want you on our team.
We’re supporting a growing manufacturer that’s looking to bring on an AR-focused professional to help manage and clean up a $50M portfolio. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on figuring things out — think: retail deductions, short-pays, missing credits, and discrepancy resolution.
The role sits in the middle of finance, sales, and customer operations. You’ll be the point person driving collections, investigating issues, helping prioritize AR follow-up, and reporting out status updates. Think of it like being the detective for why large retailers (e.g. major home improvement and hardware stores) aren’t paying. The right person here can look at a problem and not only fix it, but also document what happened and help prevent it next time. You might be working with the customers themselves or the portals through which they bill.
You’ll work closely with finance to resolve issues, prepare write-ups, analyze trends in returns or credits, and partner with internal teams to gather necessary documentation from invoices to POs and credit memos. The company uses a large ERP and Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups) are nice to have, but they’re not critical.
