A bit about us:

We’re partnering with a privately held construction and service firm undergoing some structural changes in their accounting department. They’re consolidating AR functions across multiple offices and are looking to backfill a critical role within their Indiana location. This person will handle billing and collections for both single-family builder clients and service customers.

Job Details

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Daily invoicing for service and construction customers (50+/day)
  • Uploading documents to portals, billing via email or mail
  • Investigating and resolving short pays, missed payments, and discrepancies
  • Applying cash receipts and reconciling accounts
  • Running weekly aging reports and maintaining strong internal communication
  • Building relationships across departments to get information and follow up on billing needs

What You Bring:
  • At least 3 years of AR experience – bonus points if you’ve worked in construction or service-based industries
  • Excel skills (sumif, filters, grouping preferred – no pivots or VLOOKUPs required)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with minimal direction
  • Strong communication skills – especially when working with cross-functional teams
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Additional Info:
  • ERP: Great Plains
  • Schedule: 4 days on site (brand new, modern office), 1 day WFH. Flexibility for appointments.
  • Hours: Monday–Thursday full days, Fridays are typically half days.
  • Pay: $25–$30/hr + OT (capped at 40 hours/week)
  • PTO and benefits offered
