Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the development and implementation of clinical information systems to improve patient care, enhance clinical decision making, and drive operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and IT professionals in the design, development, and deployment of health IT solutions.
- Advocate for the use of data and technology in clinical practice and create a culture of innovation within the organization.
- Develop and implement training programs for clinical staff on the use of clinical information systems.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and confidentiality of patient data in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health IT solutions and make necessary adjustments to improve performance and user satisfaction.
- Provide strategic leadership in the selection and procurement of new health IT solutions.
- Participate in the development of health IT policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within healthcare IT.
- University Healthcare System experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation and management of clinical information systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations related to health IT and patient data.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proven ability to drive innovation and change within an organization.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience in project management and change management would be advantageous.
