Our organization is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking, and experienced Permanent ACMIO (Associate Chief Medical Information Officer) to drive innovation and enhancement in our healthcare services. This role is central to our mission of providing top-tier healthcare solutions by leveraging the power of technology and data. As the Permanent ACMIO, you will be responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, and implementation of our clinical information systems. You will collaborate with our executive team, clinical staff, and IT professionals to ensure our technology initiatives align with our healthcare objectives. This position is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming patient care through technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the development and implementation of clinical information systems to improve patient care, enhance clinical decision making, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and IT professionals in the design, development, and deployment of health IT solutions.
  • Advocate for the use of data and technology in clinical practice and create a culture of innovation within the organization.
  • Develop and implement training programs for clinical staff on the use of clinical information systems.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and confidentiality of patient data in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health IT solutions and make necessary adjustments to improve performance and user satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic leadership in the selection and procurement of new health IT solutions.
  • Participate in the development of health IT policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Must hold a Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within healthcare IT.
  • University Healthcare System experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation and management of clinical information systems.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations related to health IT and patient data.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation and change within an organization.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in project management and change management would be advantageous.
