We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic and fast-paced medical team. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to provide advanced clinical care to patients in our Acute Care unit. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of duties, including diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab results, and prescribing pharmacologic treatments. This role will also involve working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
As an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, you will be expected to:
1. Provide comprehensive care to acutely ill patients with a variety of conditions and illnesses.
2. Conduct comprehensive health assessments, diagnose health conditions, and implement treatment plans.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide high-quality patient care.
4. Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment plans, and overall health maintenance.
5. Utilize advanced clinical judgment and decision-making skills to provide optimal patient care.
6. Prescribe medications, monitor efficacies, and manage patient's medication side effects.
7. Coordinate with healthcare professionals and specialists, ensuring timely follow-up of patients.
8. Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients in the Cardiac Care unit, demonstrating proficiency in cardiology.
9. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications:
1. Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
2. Current and valid Texas State RN License.
3. Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
5. Proven experience in acute care settings, particularly in Cardiac Care.
6. Exceptional clinical and diagnostic skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with patients, families, and medical professionals.
8. Proficient in electronic medical record systems.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment, managing multiple priorities.
10. Must have a strong commitment to the well-being and safety of patients.
11. Must be flexible, reliable, and able to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
