Job Details
As an Aerospace Application Engineer (AE), you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our customers in the aerospace industry. Our aerospace group provides customers with innovative polymer solutions for applications ranging from airframe & engine to interiors. In this role, you will work with customers to understand their technical needs and provide solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R&D, manufacturing, and sales to ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong background in engineering and a passion for problem-solving.
- Partner with customers to understand their advanced technical needs and provide solutions
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers
- Complete advanced preliminary design reviews for new business opportunities
- Complete advanced critical design reviews for new product development
- Create and maintain engineering documentation (models, drawings, and procedures)
- Lead and create internal and external trainings as subject matter expert one or more product lines
- Support the sales team by providing technical information and product demonstrations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction (e.g., R&D, manufacturing, sales)
- Engineering approver for engineering documentation reviews
- Knowledge of aerospace processes, such as AS9100 and Model-Based Definition (MBD)
- Experience with aerospace polymer applications (airframe and engine sealing, interior components)
