Job Details

This role prepares, masks and spray paints aircraft components, applying HVLP primers and topcoats to military specifications, then curing and inspecting the finished parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prep and mask aircraft parts so they are ready for coating
  • Mix coatings and set up the spray equipment for each job
  • Spray HVLP primers and topcoats that meet military specifications and required film thicknesses
  • Cure parts once they have been coated
  • Check finished surfaces for quality
  • Keep painting equipment in good working order

Needed:
  • Industrial painting experience
  • Experience painting aerospace or aircraft components
  • Experience spraying primers and topcoats with HVLP equipment
  • Experience applying MIL-SPEC coatings
  • Experience with NADCAP processes
  • Experience mixing and preparing coatings
  • Experience masking parts before coating
  • Experience with surface preparation using abrasives, solvents and brushes
  • Experience operating bake/cure ovens
  • Experience measuring coating and paint thickness
  • Experience working with a respirator and PPE
