Job Details

This role requires collaboration with state and federal agencies, ensuring timely and accurate submittals while fostering strong relationships with regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about emissions management software, air quality regulations, and have hands-on experience with air quality permitting and compliance in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities:

Manage the preparation and timely submission of permit applications and compliance reports, ensuring all processes meet deadlines and requirements for final permit issuance.
Support the ongoing maintenance and implementation of emissions management software platform.
Gather and compile data for annual federal and state emission inventories, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist in preparing and submitting air monitoring plans, monthly reports, and coordinate sensor installations and removals.
Draft and respond to agency records requests in a timely and thorough manner.
Contribute to the design and development of field data collection workflow forms and related training for users, ensuring compliance deadlines are met.
Stay up to date on federal, state, and local air quality regulations.
Interpret air quality rules and standards, communicate performance requirements, and document relevant practices for operations.
Collaborate regularly with facilities engineers and production engineers on new projects to ensure compliance with air quality regulations.
Offer expertise and guidance on air quality compliance to support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and operational goals.
Maintain and update protocols for air quality report submissions to regulatory bodies.
Foster a strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all aspects of the role.

Experience:

Expert knowledge in air quality permitting, compliance, and air quality rulemaking processes.
Deep understanding of environmental regulations at the local, state, and federal levels, particularly in relation to air emissions.
Experience in conducting compliance audits and creating corrective action plans with a focus on best practices.
Familiarity with air quality compliance regulations specific to Colorado’s oil and gas industry, including COGCC and CDPHE requirements.
Proficiency in Clean Air Act standards, including but not limited to NSPS OOOOabc, KKKK, JJJJ, KKK, VV, VVa, GG, and MACT ZZZZ, HH.
Familiarity with oil and gas field operations, equipment, and technical terminology.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables; familiarity with SQL, Python, or similar data analysis tools is a plus.
Experience in developing regulatory reports for submission to agencies.
